The University of Venda (UNIVEN) is now accepting applications for the 2025 academic year! Prospective undergraduate students must apply by September 26, 2024, while postgraduate applicants have until November 30, 2024. Prospective students who are financially challenged and unable to cover their expenses can apply for financial assistance through the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). Prospective applicants who are South African citizens are eligible for NSFAS funding. Other eligibility requirements, however, must be met before the scheme can approve funding for a student. More information is available on the Nsfas official website at www.nsfas.ac.za.

Univen Online Application Requirements for 2025-2026

Please include certified copies of the following documents.

Copy of your identity document or passport
Copy of Senior Certificate or Statement of Symbols, Matriculation
Copy of school examination results certified by the school principal (if still at school)
Academic record and certificate of good conduct (if you have already studied at a tertiary
institution)
Copy of Study/Residence Permit/Medical Insurance/SAQA Evaluation Certificate (if you are an
international applicant)

Univen Application Fee for 2025-2026

It is compulsory for all applicants

R100-00 non-refundable application fee must be paid at Absa bank account no. 1000 000 589 and write your ID number as the reference number.

International students use the swift code: ABSAZAJJ with the reference number as a passport number without the alphabet.

Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit your application form and accompanying documents in two ways ie by mail or in person

Completed application forms must be returned to the University either by certified/ordinary mail/registered post before 26 September 2024
