Applications to study in 2027 at Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) for Higher Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Certificate, Honours, Master’s, and Doctorate programs open on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, for students of all countries.

All application documents—including a fully completed online application form, academic certificates, identity documents, and proof of payment of the application fee—must be submitted by Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 12:00 noon.

Application Requirements for 2027 Academic Admission

General Requirements (All Applicants)

To be considered for admission, all applicants must:

  1. Complete an online application.
  2. Submit all required documents before the application deadline.
  3. Pay a non-refundable application fee of R240.
  4. Possess a Matric or NSC certificate.
  5. Grade 11 students must submit their June results.
  6. Have a good APS score.
  7. Provide a valid email address, National ID number, and cell phone number.
  8. Minors must complete a declaration form signed by their parents.

Additional Requirements for International Students

International applicants must submit:

  • Certified academic certificates (high school and/or previous tertiary qualifications).
  • Certified passport copy (valid and not expired).
  • Study visa/permit (or proof of application for one).
  • Proof of payment of application fee.
  • English language proficiency certificate (if applicable).

Additional Requirements for Transfer Students

Applicants transferring from another institution must submit:

  • Certified academic transcripts from current or previous institutions.
  • Proof of current enrollment or a letter of good standing from your current institution.
