Understanding Your CPUT Application Status

Your application status may change as the university evaluates your qualifications and supporting documents. Below are some common application outcomes and what they generally mean:

  • Acknowledgement of Application: Your application has been received by the university. This does not mean you have been admitted.
  • Online Incomplete: Your application is missing some required information or supporting documents.
  • Application Being Processed: Your application is undergoing assessment by the relevant admissions department.
  • Alternative Selection Outcome: Your application may be considered for an alternative qualification or admission route.
  • Accepted: You have received an offer of admission, subject to any conditions stated in your admission letter.
  • Rejected: Your application was unsuccessful, and you have not been offered admission for the selected programme.

Important: Submitting a late application does not guarantee admission. Applicants must satisfy the academic requirements of their preferred programmes, and admission depends on the availability of spaces. Continue monitoring your application status and respond promptly to any communication from CPUT.
