The application period for the 2026 academic year at Cape Peninsula University of Technology will begin on May 13, 2025. To ensure timely processing, students are encouraged to submit their applications by the following deadlines:

  • BEd Foundation, Intermediate & Senior Phase, Bachelor in Nursing: July 29, 2025
  • Postgraduate Diploma Qualifications: September 30, 2025
  • Diploma in Technical & Vocational Teaching (ADTVET): August 31, 2025
  • Applications for all other qualifications (Higher Certificate, Higher Diploma, Diploma, Honours, Bachelor’s Degree): October 31, 2025
  • Postgraduate Qualifications (Master’s and Doctoral Degrees): March 14, 2026

How to Upload Documents at CPUT: Uploading Online Documents Instructions

  • Each document must be scanned, saved and uploaded individually against each uploading Certificate code as indicated
  • All documents should be scanned in any of the following file types: tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
  • The maximum scanned file size is 5MB each.
  • Follow the steps below to upload all supporting outstanding documents
    • Click on the Load/ View Document to submit your first document
    • Click on the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button
    • Select your saved scanned Matric document (document must be saved as .tiff, pdf, .jpg or .gif) from your device
    • Click on the SAVE and then the CLOSE button
    • Click on the CLOSE button again
    • Click on the CLOSE button again
    • Select the COMPLETE UPLOAD button to finalize your online application process

How to Apply for Cape Peninsula University of Technology 2026

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology invites both new and returning students to apply online via www.cput.ac.za, with no application fee required. However, manual applications must be submitted along with a R100 application fee at any of the campus locations. Please note that manual applications are only accepted for a few selected courses, as listed on the website.
