Colleges Nsfas Online Application Date For 2024
Most of the public Tvet Colleges in South Africa have made it feasible for their students and applicants to apply for Nsfas bursaries to help them and take care of their educational needs, such as their tuition, lodging, and books. Nsfas will start its application window for students to apply for bursaries and funding for the academic year 2024-2025 on September 28, 2023, at www.nsfas.org.za. The last day of submission for all NSFAS applications is the end of January 2024.
For NSFAS qualifying Tvet college students. NSFAS will pay for the following expenses from the academic year 2024-2025
- Registration & Tuition Fees
- Personal Care Allowance
- Transport Allowance
- Accommodation Allowance

NSFAS Allowances for Tvet Colleges Students
Any student at Tvet College who is granted NSFAS support will get the following allowances for the academic year 2024-2025.
- Rent/Accommodation allowance of R24,000 per annum for students in an urban area
- Rent/Accommodation allowance of R18,900 per annum for students peri-urban area
- Accommodation or Rent allowances of R15,750 per annum for students in a rural area
- Allowances for Transportation of R7,350 up to 40 km from the institution) per annum
- Allowances for Transportation of R7000 per annum
- Incidental/personal care allowance R2900 per annum

Documents Needed to Apply for Colleges NSFAS Funding
Candidates applying for Nsfas at any of South Africa’s Tvet colleges for the academic year 2024 must have the following.
- Identification Documents/Birth Certificate
- Proof of Household Income
- Academic Transcripts and Certificates
- Proof of University or College Acceptance
- Consent form
- Disability Documentation
NSFAS Application Qualifications Criteria
To apply for NSFAS funding for the academic year 2024-2025, you need to meet the requirements below
- The applicant must be a South African
- A student must be registered or intending to register on a PLP, NC(V) or Report 191 programme at any of the fifty (50) public TVET Colleges in South Africa;
- Must be in need of financial assistance (NSFAS will determine whether or not a student meets the financial eligibility criteria);
- Must not be enrolling for a qualification that duplicates previous learning that was state-funded
- Applicants must be in a maximum threshold of up to R350,000 of combined gross family income per annum and are admitted/received a firm offer for enrolment in a College.
