The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) will begin accepting applications for the 2025-2026 academic year on May 16, 2024, and will continue accepting applications until the deadlines specified in the table below. This applies to both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Before you apply for a course at CPUT in 2025
- Download the prospectus of CPUT For 2025 and read about the minimum and faculty requirements of your preferred course.
- Gather all your documents and certify those that need certification. certification may not be older than 3 months
- If you are applying online, then there is the need to convert all the documents into an uploadable file such as tiff, pdf, jpg or gif. The maximum scanned file size is 2MB each.
- Save the documents separately
- Consult the list of additional admission requirements (qualification-specific document requirements)
- Create an email address be it a yahoo or Gmail account
- Check that your names are exactly the same on all of your documents.
CPUT Application Requirements for 2025-2026
You need to have the documents below to apply for a course at CPUT.
- Final Grade 11 results
- Identity Document
- Minor Application Declaration (Less than 18 years)
- English Proficiency
- English Translation Final Grade 11 equivalence results
- Final Grade 12 equivalence results
- Letter confirming registration for upgrading of results
- Final Grade 12/School Leaving Results
- Academic Record: Certificate of Conduct and Qualifications obtained
- Passport/Asylum Seeker/Permanent Residency permits
- SAQA Certificate
- Previous Studies & Final Grade 11 equivalence translation
CPUT Application Process for 2025-2026
Step 1: Choose a course
- Select a qualification you want to pursue.
- Download the prospectus here
- You can select up to three courses to improve your chances.
Step 2: Complete the form
- Download the application form and complete it manually or complete the online application form by following the screen instructions
- Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit your application form and accompanying documents in two ways:
- Forms can be hand-delivered at the campus where the programme is offered. The venues of offering of all programmes are outlined in the application form.
- Forms can also be posted to the Admissions Office at the campus where the programme is offered
Step 3: Upload and Submit the forms
- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents.
- Pay the application fee if you applied manually
- Submit them online if you completed the online application form.
