CPUT Online Application Login 2025
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology has launched its online application form for the 2025 academic year, open from May 13, 2024, to March 14, 2025. Prospective applicants may choose courses that match their academic background and apply for them throughout the application season.
Admission Requirements for CPUT Programs

The university may also require applicants to complete a series of tests for placement purposes during the 2025-2026 academic year.
CPUT Online Application Login For 2025
For the 2025 academic year, Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is currently accepting applications online. The deadline for applications is March 14, 2025. Applicants must use a smart device, a web browser, and their login credentials to complete the application procedure. To ensure that all necessary documents are sent before the application is closed, it is recommended to start the application process using Google Chrome.
How to Apply to CPUT For 2025
Applying online to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is a straightforward process. Simply follow the steps below:
- Go to www.cput.ac.za.
- Click on the “STUDY AT CPUT” tab.
- Click on Apply Online under step 4
- Select New applications
- Select No Existing Student Number
- Check the POPIA box
- Enter your ID Number
- Key in your details (personal, contact, and address details)
- Click Next to proceed
- Enter your educational background details
- Enter your previous school’s results
- Select and choose at least 2 study courses
- populate the entire section and Click on Next
- Preview your details and proceed
- Upload all supporting materials one after the other
- Review all the information provided
- Finally, click on the submit button to complete the application form
Manual Applications:
- Locate and download the PDF application form.
- Complete the form carefully and submit it according to the provided instructions.
How to complete CPUT application Form for 2025
To complete the application form for CPUT, follow the guidelines below
Step 1: Qualification
- Select a qualification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Complete the form
- Download the application form and complete it manually or complete the online application form by following the screen instructions
Step 3: Upload and Submit the forms
- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents.
- Pay the application fee if you applied manually
- Send in your form and documents to the designated channel
- Submit them online if you completed the online application form
Required Documents for Both Online and Manual Applications
The following documents must be ready at the time of applications and submission
South African Applicants
- Copy of the proof of payment of your application fee (online application submission is free of charge).
- A certified copy of the first page of your Identity Document.
- A certified copy of your Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification. If you are currently in Grade 12, please submit your marks obtained in Grade 11.
- Certified copies of the original Academic record and Certificate of Conduct, or certified copies of other certificates/ diplomas/ degrees you obtained previously from any other higher education institution.
- Any other documents specifically required for the programme to which you are applying, as explained in the application form and admission requirements
Foreign Applicants
- A certified copy of your school-leaving certificate, together with an English translation.
- A scratch card (students from the West African Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examinations Council (NECO).
- Congo-Brazzaville applicants must submit the Liste des Admis au Bac
- Sixth-year Bulletin: Diplom D’Etat and Journal and transcripts of results or Journal or Confirmation of Results from the Embassy (students from Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo or Cameroon).
- International/Foreign Post-Basic Nursing applicants need to submit a document indicating approval of nursing qualifications from, and certified by, South African Qualification Authority (SAQA), in order to be provisionally accepted. Full acceptance will only be considered if the applicant also submits proof of temporary registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) for two (2) years, in addition to a valid study permit.
- Any other documents specifically required for the programmes to which you are applying, as explained in the application form and special admission requirements
Additional Documents (Foreign students only)
Certified copies of the following applicable documents (must be less than three (3) months old)
- Permanent Residency applicants: Passport and Proof of Permanent Residency/SA ID Document/Card
- Refugee/Asylum seeker temporary permit/formal recognition of refugee status in the RSA
- Passport
- School leaving certificate should be submitted with the English translation of the certificate
- SAQA Evaluation certificate
Please Note:
- Minor applicants who are under the age of 18 at the time of application must submit a Minor Application Declaration.
