Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) provides a free online application, but manual applications and late submissions require a non-refundable fee of R100.00 and R150.00 respectively.

CPUT Online Application Steps for the 2025 Academic Year

Follow the steps below to apply successfully to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT)

Step 1: What You’ll Need to Apply

  • Supporting documents scanned into pdf.
  • A valid email address.
  • A signed minor declaration form from guardians/parents (under 18).

Step 2: CPUT Application Process:

  • Enter the Student Online System (SOS) to save progress and return later
  • New Applicants: Select “No” for “Do you already have a student number?” and “No” for “Returning to complete application.”
  • Read and accept the POPI Act document.
  • Enter your Qualification-Specific Token (Optional)
  • Click on the “Next Button”.

Step 3: Biographical Details Steps:

  • Enter Personal details
  • Key in the full names of your next of kin, their mobile/cellular phone number, home phone number, work phone number, and email address.
  • Enter the full names of the person responsible for payments, their mobile/cellular phone number, home phone number, email address, and postal address.

Step 4: Apply for Undergraduate Qualification (Matric):

  • Select “Undergraduate”
  • Upgrading Results: Select “No”
  • Choose “International or local Matric”
  • Enter your Matriculation/Grade 12 Year (YYYY) and Final School Leaving Certificate number.
  • complete the blank spaces for each subject.
  • Only proceed if you have entered the minimum required number of subjects.

Step 5: Educational Institution/s:

  • Enter the name of your most recent high school.
  • Indicate “Yes” if you attended college, university, or other institution after high school.

Step 6: Applying for the desired qualification at CPUT:

  • Choose your desired qualification.
  • Choose your desired campus.
  • choose the Language of Instruction
  • Entry Requirements: Look for “Eligibility.” “N” indicates you don’t meet the requirements for that program.
