Eastcape Midlands Tvet College has officially opened applications for all new and returning students interested in their courses for the 2023-2024 academic year. Once your senior high schools are approved, you can begin applying on September 1st, 2023. The application period will end on September 30, 2023.

You will be required to upload certified copies of your results, certificates, and ID during the application process. If you disregard this session, your application for this academic year will be rejected.

Applying early does not guarantee automatic admission, but it does increase the likelihood of receiving an offer for the desired course, so apply as soon as possible. The Midlands Tvet College 2023-2024 application period begins on September 1, 2023, and ends on September 30, 2023. All documents, including certified copies of your certificates, most recent results, academic transcript, and fully completed application form, must be received by the college by September 30, 2023.

  • Latest school results and results from any other educational institution (End year results: Nov)
  • ID document: student’s, parent (s)’ or guardian (s)’

Choosing Your Career

A PACE test will be conducted to test your numeracy and literacy skills. An interest assessment will also be done which will reveal your abilities, strengths, etc. After the assessment, a personal interview will be scheduled with you. After studying your school results, your numeracy & literacy levels and your interests one of its career guidance practitioners will recommend the most appropriate career to fulfil your dreams.

Selection Stage

Based on the information obtained you should now be able to make an informed decision on your future career. You will also be informed whether you meet the necessary requirements for your chosen career and would be advised on admittance to the institution. You will be guided on further registration procedures if you qualify for the chosen career.

Eligible for Free Registration?

Provide the college with the listed documents in order to be screened for free registration:

  • SAPS-certified copy of Student Identity Document/Birth Certificate
  • SAPS certified copy(ies) of Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s) Identity Document
  • SAPS certified copy(ies) of parent(s)/guardian(s) death certificate if they are deceased
  • Proof of income: social grant slip/ recent salary slip/ recent bank statement
  • Affidavit to state unemployment: include information on whether you received a grant and the amount received.
  • Residential address of the student
  • Number of family members in the household
  • Number of students in the household (only University and College students – Provide proof of University students)
  • Accommodation amount per month (in the case of private boarders)
  • Transport amount per month: this should be in an affidavit
  • All certified copies must NOT be older than 3 months.

You will receive a printout as proof if you qualify for free registration. THIS PROOF DOES NOT GUARANTEE ANY STUDENT A BURSARY

If you are not eligible for free registration, then do the following:

  1. Pay the registration fee at the nearest Standard Bank (The account details will be given at the registration office)
  2. Attach the proof of payment to your screening results and other supporting documents after payment.
  3. Submit all required documentation to the registration office.
  4. Applicants under the age of 21 must accompany their parents or guardians to the registration office. The parent or guardian of the applicant must sign the application form, and a copy of the parent or guardian ID must be attached to the forms.
