Funza Lushaka Monthly Allowance For Students 2024

For students who want to pursue careers in teaching, the Funza Lushaka Bursary Scheme is currently accepting applications. The multi-year Funza Lushaka Bursary Program aims to encourage teaching as a career. The Funza Lushaka Bursary is offered to eligible students so they can finish their teaching qualification in priority areas at a university recognized by a public higher education institution (HEI). It is overseen by the Department of Basic Education (DBE) and is financed by the National Treasury.

Citizenship of South Africa
Acceptance into a university’s teaching program
Those who are awarded the bursary are required to teach in a public school for the same number of years.
You have to be 30 years of age or under.

Food Allowance
Learning material allowances
Monthly Allowances for living/daily expenses. The Monthly allowance or stipend is R600.00 for living expenses

Bachelor of Education (B.ED)
Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
