How Do I Submit A TUT Application Online 2026

Tshwane University of Technology is now open for applications for the 2026 academic year, starting in March 2025. Both new and returning students are welcome to apply. Applications can be completed online or via a hard copy submission. Deadlines vary by program, but all applications must be submitted no later than September 30, 2025. Ensure you meet the program requirements before applying.

The application process is completed only once. You may continue working on your application as long as it is finalized before the deadline. However, after the deadline, further modifications or submissions will not be possible. Follow the instructions on this page to submit your online application for the 2026 academic year.

When to Apply for Application at TUT For 2026 Admissions

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) online application for the 2026 academic intake will open on March 1, 2025, and close on September 30, 2025. Prospective students are encouraged to apply for admission for the January 2026 intake before the deadline to secure their spot.

Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Application Requirements For 2026

For you to apply online to the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), you need to have the following documents:

South African Students

  • Recently certified (certification may not be not older than 6 months)
  • Copies of your original identity document
  • National Senior Certificate and highest academic results
  • The proof of application fee.

Foreign Students

  • Passport, and identification pages
  • Transcript, or latest academic result
  • Proof of registration at home university
  • Proof of medical insurance
  • Letter of recommendation
  • The Proof of application fee

TUT Administrative Fees for 2026

Prospective applicants for the academic year 2026 must pay a non-refundable application fee of R 240, which applies to both South African and foreign citizens. PAY ONLINE HERE.

TUT Online Application Process for 2026:

Simply follow the steps below to submit your application to the TUT for the academic year 2026

  • Please provide your South African ID number OR Passport number to log in.

Step 3:

  • Fill in the required information on the online application form. An asterisk (*) denotes the REQUIRED/COMPULSORY Field.
  • Any of these will invalidate your application.

Step 4:

  • Upload all supporting documentation: Continue to upload the required files.
  • These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually.
  • The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 572KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.

Step 5:

  • Pay the application fee for the academic year 2026.
  • After paying for the application offline, upload the required receipt.

Step 6:

  • Submit the fully completed online application form for the academic year 2026.
  • Once your application has been processed, you will be given a school number to use as identification while attending TUT.

Conditions for uploading supporting documents

  • All documents must be certified (except programme-specific requirements e.g. cover letter)
  • When uploading documents, ensure that the scanned file does not exceed 2MB and that all documents are scanned in any of the following file types: tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
  • Each document must be scanned and uploaded as separate attachments
  • Your application will not be processed until all documents have been submitted.
