UJ Courses and Admission Requirements for the 2024/2025 academic year
Choose the course you want to apply for and study the entry requirements of that particular course. The University of Johannesburg allows you to select TWO study programmes as part of your application. How To Apply For the University of Johannesburg Online 2024-2025
Now that you’ve determined your academic and non-academic requirements, proceed to the steps below to apply online for your program at the University of Johannesburg.
Log in to the application portal
- Visit the official website at ul.ac.za/Apply if you have good internet access.
- If you are a new applicant, select “New Applicant.”
- Select Yes/No from the drop box if you have the student number.
- Select Yes/No from the drop-down menu to indicate whether you are returning to finish an unfinished application.
Accept the Clause to Proceed
- Read the clause that appears after the previous step and check the box “I Accept.” to continue
Register your profile
- Enter your Biographical details, Contact Information, Residence Information, and nationality. ( Please enter your biographical details in CAPS.)
- Click on the Next Button to continue to the next page
- You will then receive an email with your Student Number and a temporary pin.
- You can choose to change or keep the pin.
Log in with your new student number
- Enter your student number and pin now.
Choose your field of studies
- Choose your course after reviewing the individual course prerequisites. Before applying, download the university prospectus and review the course requirements.
- The decision will be based on these criteria. Please reconsider your selection if it does not meet the requirements.
Upload the supporting documents
- Keep uploading the necessary documents. These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually.
- The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 512KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.
- Remember to save each page before moving on to the next.
- If you do not save your data before proceeding, you will lose it.
Submit your application
- Please ensure that you press the Submit Application button once you have completed your application to ensure that they receive it.
Pay the application fee for the academic year 2024-2025 to UJ
The online application is completely free. An R200 non-refundable processing fee will be applied to all manual applications. Manual application users must submit proof of payment for 2024 by attaching a copy of the receipt to the fully completed application form.
