How To Apply Online at UJ (2026 Intake)
Use the following steps to submit your free application for the University of Johannesburg’s 2026 academic intake.
- Go to www.uj.ac.za
- Click on Apply Online.
- Choose “New Applicant” if you are applying for the first time.
- Select Yes or No to indicate if you have a student number.
- If you are returning to finish an incomplete application, select Yes or No.
- Review the terms and click on “I Accept” to proceed.
- Provide your Biographical, Contact, Residence, and Nationality details in capital letters.
- Click on the “Next” button to continue to the next page.
- Check your inbox for an email containing your Student Number and temporary PIN (you can change the PIN if desired).
- Enter your Student Number and the PIN provided.

- Pay the application fee and upload the proof of payment.
