The University of the Witwatersrand’s (Wits) Online Application Portal Opens March 1st

The University of the Witwatersrand’s (Wits) online application portal will be opened from March 1, 2024. Applications are accepted for all qualifications, including undergraduate certificates, diplomas and degrees, as well as postgraduate masters, honours and PhDs.

WITS Application Dates For 2025-2026

  • The online application form, including a PDF version, will be made available on the University of the Witwatersrand’s (Wits) website on March 1, 2024.

  • All undergraduate courses will be closed to South African and international students on September 30, 2024.

  • Application forms and all supporting documentation must be submitted by postgraduate applicants by August 31, 2024

Wits Closing Dates For 2025 Applications

What do you need to study at the University of the Witwatersrand?

The minimum admission requirement to a Bachelor’s degree programme is a National Certificate (Vocational) Level 4 issued by Council for General and Further Education and Training. The minimum legislative requirements for admission to a Bachelor’s degree include the achievement of:
