How To Apply To CPUT Online For 2025-2026

The article guides submitting online applications to Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for the academic year 2025-2026. The online application portal will be active from May 13, 2024, and applies to all qualifications, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Prospective applicants are advised to ensure they meet the entry requirements for their desired course before selecting it. Applications for Semester 1 of 2025 are open and will close on March 15, 2025, at midnight. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent via SMS or email.

What Do You Need to Apply at CPUT For 2025-2026

These documents are crucial for your application process. Missing any could lead to rejection. Ensure you have:

Proof of payment for application fee
Certified copy of first page of identity document
Certified copy of Senior Certificate or equivalent, along with Grade 11 results
Original Academic Records, Certificate of Conduct, and verified copies of previous certificates, diplomas, or degrees from other institutions (if applicable)
Refugee/Asylum seeker permit or formal recognition of refugee status in RSA
Passport
School leaving certificate with English translation
SAQA Evaluation certificate
Scratch card for WAEC/NECO students
Liste des Admis au Bac for Congo-Brazzaville applicants
Certified copy of school-leaving certificate with English translation
Letter confirming registration for Grade 12 results upgrading for SA Citizens

How to Upload Supporting Documents at CPUT

Follow the guidelines below to upload all the required documents before you submit the online forms

All documents must be certified (except programme-specific requirements e.g. cover letter)
When uploading documents, ensure that the scanned file does not exceed 2MB and that all documents are scanned in any of the following file types: tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
Each document must be scanned and uploaded as separate attachments
Your application will not be processed until all documents have been submitted
Enter Yes to submit documents and click on the NEXT button
- Click on the Load/ View Document to submit your first document
- Click on the UPLOAD DOCUMENT button
- Select your saved scanned Matric document (document must be saved as .tiff, pdf, .jpg or .gif) from your device
- Click on the SAVE and then the CLOSE button
- Click on the CLOSE button again
- Click on the CLOSE button again
- Select the COMPLETE UPLOAD button to finalize your online application process

Carefully follow the steps below to submit all outstanding documents if you are returning students

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page –
If you have any outstanding documents or need to upload additional supporting documents, please contact us.
Enter your Student ID and PIN.
Select the Uploading of Documents link.
Please upload the appropriate document to the appropriate certificate codes.

How to Apply Online at CPUT for 2025-2026

To apply for your undergraduate or postgraduate course, please follow the steps below.

Step 1: Qualification

Select a qualification you want to pursue.

Step 2: Complete the form

Download the application form and complete it manually or complete the online application form by following the screen instructions
Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit your application form and accompanying documents in two ways:
- Forms can be hand-delivered at the campus where the programme is offered.
- Forms can also be posted to the Admissions Office at the campus where the programme is offered

Step 3: Upload and Submit the forms

Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents.
