How to Re-Apply at the University of the Western Cape 2024-2025

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) has officially opened its application process to all previous applicants who must reapply for the academic year 2024-2025. All returning students can resume their applications by visiting the application portal until September 30, 2024. The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is currently accepting re-applications or re-admissions for the 2024 academic year, and all applicants are encouraged to apply. Undergraduate programs will be phased out on September 30, 2023, while postgraduate programs will be available until September 30, 2024.

 

UWC Application Dates For 2024-2025

The University of the Western Cape online application will be open on May 1, 2023. Prospective students who want to attend the university must adhere to the following deadlines and apply accordingly. Please keep in mind that late applications will not be accepted.

  • BA Honours Sports Recreation and Exercise Science, BA Honours in Biokinetics and BSC Honours Biokinetics close on 31 July 2023.
  • Bachelor of Dentistry and Oral Health programs and postgraduate degrees from the School of Government will be closed on August 31, 2023.
  • Transfer applications for 2024 will be accepted until September 30, 2023.
  • All other undergraduate and postgraduate programs will be closed on September 30, 2023.
  • Re-Admission Applications for undergraduate courses will close on 30 September 2023.

 

UWC Admission and Entry Requirements for the 2024-2025 academic year

UWC admission requirements for entry-level programmes adhere to national legislation and therefore the following are required:

  • The minimum admission requirement is a National Senior Certificate (NSC)
  • Bachelors pass – an achievement rating of 4 (adequate achievement 50-59%) or better in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects.

 

Documents needed for the application process for 2024/2025 admissions

The documents listed below are essential components of the application process. Most applications are rejected because the applicants did not upload or submit all of the required documents. To avoid disappointment, ensure that the following documents are submitted within the application period:

  • A senior certificate or a certified copy of your NSC certificate
  • Certified Good Conduct Certificate from your current or former university
  • Module content and Yearbook descriptors from your institution for all of the completed
  • Modules, certified official academic transcript
  • Certificate for a certified degree (if applicable)
  • Your identification document, certified (ID)

 

How to Re-apply at the University of the Western Cape For 2024

  • To continue your application to UWC, you must re-enter the application portal at https://student.uwc.ac.za/
  • If you are returning to complete or correct your application, click “EDIT APPLICATION”
  • Please complete at least the ID / Passport field to continue
  • Click on the submit button to proceed to the online application form
  • Accept the rules and regulations after carefully reading them.
  • Review the information you last provided before you proceed
  • Select the qualification from the drop-down menu. You can type your qualification, and the programs associated with that qualification will be displayed on the screen.
  • If you have finished selecting your course, save and continue with the application
  • Complete every field pertaining to your qualification
  • Accept the application in order to submit it.

HAVE YOU LOGGED OUT?: Log in again with your Application Number to upload the required application documents. You must log in with your Student Number if you are a current student and need to upload a copy of your ID document.
