The University of Fort Hare Re-Opens Application Process for Returning Students! The University of Fort Hare (UFH) has officially reopened its application process for all previous applicants who wish to reapply for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Re-applications are now being accepted for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The application deadline for returning students is October 31, 2025. International applicants have until August 31, 2025, to submit their applications.
All applicants are encouraged to apply through the university’s application portal. The portal will remain open for application submissions until the respective deadlines.

When to Reapply to the University of Fort Hare for 2025-2026 Admissions
The application portal for the University of Fort Hare’s 2025-2026 academic year will open on April 1, 2024. This is the first time you will have access to the online application form.
Beginning April 1, 2024, all undergraduate and postgraduate applications will be available online. You can choose to complete and submit them electronically or download and submit them offline.
It is important to be aware of the deadline for submitting all required university documents for review.

UFH Applicants’ Readmission Requirements
Kindly ensure that the University is in possession of all the following documents:
- Your academic record and certificate of conduct in respect of studies at any other tertiary education institution, if applicable.
- A certified copy of ID Documents and/or marriage certificates (if applicable)
- A certified copy of your senior certificate/Diploma/Degree previously obtained.
- Proof of Payment for the Application Fee.

A non-refundable fee of R120 is payable before 31 October 2025. All returning students seeking readmission must ensure this fee is paid as stated in the account below and attach the original deposit slip with your application form.

How to Obtain the UFH Re-admission Application Forms for 2025-2026
All returning students seeking readmission can obtain the form from the university of Fort Hare’s official website or from any of the university’s three campuses. You must complete the application form and submit it to the admissions office by the deadline.
How to do Readmission at University of Fort Hare
Follow the steps here to complete your application
- Go to our website ufh.ac.za and click Online Services at the very bottom of the page.
- Then type your Student Number and PIN that you created (If you forgot your pin, click on Forgot Pin and a new pin will be generated).
- Step 2 above will direct you to Student iEnabler where you should click on Returning Student Application.
- Click on POPI Act and accept it.
- Click Returning Student Application
- On the right side of the screen, you will see sub-headings starting with Biographical Information. As you scroll down the screen, at the bottom you will see a sub-heading Upload Documents
- Click Show, then click Upload Documents.
