Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is pleased to announce that the online application for the 2025-2026 academic year is now open! Whether you’re interested in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies, you can now begin your application.
Before applying, we recommend carefully reviewing CPUT’s 2025-2026 admissions information, which includes details about programs, requirements, and the application process. To ensure you have enough time to complete your application, be sure to submit it before the deadline:
- Undergraduate courses: September 30, 2024
- Postgraduate courses: March 31, 2025

Financial Aid Available for South African Students
South African students who have difficulty paying for their education can get financial help from the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS). There are specific requirements students must meet to qualify. You can find all the details on the official NSFAS website.
CPUT Online Applications Open May 16, 2024 for 2025-2026 Academic Year
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is accepting online applications for the 2025-2026 academic year starting May 16, 2024. With a few exceptions, all applications and supporting documents must be submitted electronically through the CPUT website.

Submit your CPUT 2025 online application
- Applicants that have never applied and studied (including short programmes) at CPUT before (i.e no existing student number) – Apply here
- Applicants that have applied or studied (including short programmes) at CPUT before (i.e you have an existing student number) – Apply here
Manual Application for 2025-2026
- No manual posted or over-the-counter applications will be accepted unless for those categories that cannot submit online and as outlined in Step 3:
- Please note that applicants are limited to three choices. (except for RPL – only one choice is permissible).
- Some qualifications require applicants to submit additional information as part of their application as outlined on the official website
Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit your application form and accompanying documents in two ways:
- Forms can be hand-delivered at the campus where the programme is offered. The venues of the offering of all programmes are outlined in the application form.
- Forms can also be posted to the Admissions Office at the campus where the programme is offered, by using the addresses below
