MUT Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake

Each faculty at Mangosuthu University of Technology has specific entry requirements. To be considered for selection into a degree program, applicants must meet the following basic criteria:

Faculty of Management Sciences

English, Maths, and Accounting: All at 50% or higher
Additional departmental screening may apply
A minimum of 25 points is required for all programs

Faculty of Engineering

English, Maths, and Physics: All at 50% or higher
Additional departmental screening may apply

Faculty of Applied and Health Sciences

English, Maths, Physical Science, Agricultural Science, and Life Sciences: All at 50% or higher

Documents Required for MUT 2026 Applications

All prospective students are required by the Mangosuthu University of Technology to submit the following documents as part of the application process:

South African students

Proof of payment for the application fee
Grade 11 final results, grade 12 June exam results, National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
Identity Document or ID card
