Register for NSFAS 2024 Here
There is a need to start looking for funds as soon as possible because the academic year of 2024 is quickly approaching. Once you apply to study at one of the universities or Tvet Colleges recognised by the NSFAS and are a South African citizen with a valid ID number or a permanent resident in South Africa, you are qualified to register for the 2024 NSFAS financing at www.nsfas.org.za. The Nsfas registration form for the academic year 2024 is open from September 28 to January 31, 2024.
Let me walk you through the process of registering for NSFAS 2024, especially if this is your first time doing so. Apart from being a South African, you must complete the eligibility requirements, submit and upload relevant documents, and create an NSFAS account before you may register for NSFAS financing in 2024. Do not be alarmed; these are all easy-to-follow to follow simple procedures.
Who Qualifies For NSFAS Registrations?
The following are the fundamental requirements that any NSFAS registrant must satisfy. If you don’t meet the minimum requirements listed below, you are not eligible to register for NSFAS. This eligibility could be of:
- A citizen of South Africa
- A permanent resident in South Africa
- Gross Income not more than R350,000 for the year
- A SASSA grant recipient
- A student with a valid email and cell number

- Studying or about to study an NSFAS-approved course
- Person with a disability
- Students who started studying before 2018 and whose household income is not more than R122 000 per annum

- Students who have completed a previous qualification.
- Students with a combined household income of more than R350 000 per annum.
- Students who have already applied, qualified, and received funding. They are automatically funded for the duration of their studies provided they pass their modules and meet the academic requirements.
