Stellenbosch University Application Fees for 2026 Entry

- Asylum seeker status holders in South Africa
- Diplomatic status holders in South Africa
International undergraduate and postgraduate applicants are also required to pay the R100 application fee.

How to Apply to Stellenbosch University Online
To submit an application form, prospective applicants must follow the steps outlined below. A step cannot be omitted for any reason. You must follow all of the instructions listed below to apply to Stellenbosch University (SU):

- At the top menu of the page, click on the “Students” tab
Select and choose your field of study
- Select your qualification (YOUR COURSES YOU WANT TO OFFER)
- Explore your programme option. You may apply for up to three programmes from any faculty.
- Make sure you meet the requirement for your selected programme.
Complete the online form
- Click on the “Apply” tab. You must apply before the closing date
- Complete your online application form. You will need an e-mail address and phone number so that SU can contact you
- As soon as you create your profile, you can follow the system prompts to proceed with your online application immediately.

Accept the Offer and Attach the Signed Contract
- If they make you an offer you must accept it by the deadline, and upload your signed student contract to register as a Matie
- If you have applied for more than one programme, you may receive more than one offer from us. You may only accept.
SUN Minimum Admission Requirements 2026
Only applicants who satisfy the following basic requirements will be considered for selection:
- A National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Independent Examinations Board (IEB) school-leaving certificate as certified by Umalusi with admission to bachelor’s degree studies.
- A university exemption certificate issued by the South African Matriculation Board to students with other school qualifications.
