UJ Application Dates 2026

The University of Johannesburg has set specific deadlines for application submissions to ensure efficient processing and timely selection. All applications, along with supporting documents, must be submitted by the following deadlines:

  • College of Business and Economics: 30 September 2025
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE): 31 August 2025
  • All other Undergraduate courses: October 31, 2025

Late applications will not be accepted.

How to Apply at UJ Online for Admission 2026

Prospective applicants must carefully follow the steps outlined below to successfully submit their application form. Each step is essential and should not be skipped. To apply to the University of Johannesburg, ensure that you complete all the required steps:

  • Go to www.uj.ac.za to begin your application.
  • Click Apply Online.
  • Select New Application
  • Create a new account.
  • Agree to Rules
  • Generate Student Number.
  • Login with Student Number.
  • Complete the Form.
  • Upload all necessary documents below one at a time.
    • Certified duplicates of your identification documents (ID)
    • If you have completed your Grade 12 exams, you must provide a certified copy of your results.
    • Certified copy of your Grade 11 (if you are currently in Grade 12)
    • Study Visa in South Africa
    • Medical Report
    • English Proficiency For Undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required
    • Sworn English Translation of documents (Documents issued in any Language other than English)
  • Save each document before proceeding to avoid document loss.
  • Manual applicants must pay the non-refundable fee before submitting.
  • Once all steps are complete, click the “Submit Your Application” tab.

NOTE:

You will only be able to submit your online application once you have:

  • Completed the full online application form
  • Uploaded all the necessary scanned supporting documents in .pdf format
  • UJ Online application is free
  • If you have not clicked APPLY, your form has not been submitted
