When is the UJ application open for 2025/2026: The University of Johannesburg (UJ) administration is pleased to announce that admissions for 2025/2026 will begin on 01 April 2024 and end on 31 October 2024 at noon. This is the only opportunity for applicants to apply for admission to their desired courses or programs. Certified duplicates of your identification documents (ID)
If you have completed your Grade 12 exams, you must provide a certified copy of your results.
Certified copy of your Grade 11 (if you are currently in Grade 12)

A certified copy of your passport number from your home country
Study Visa in South Africa
Medical Report
English Proficiency For Undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) application fee Requirements

Proactive Management has also published the cost of applying to the University of Johannesburg (UJ) for the 2025/2026 academic year. Beginning 01 April 2024, applicants can apply and pay the required application fee within a matter of minutes.

Applicants will be able to pay for their applications once the portal is operational. This fee cannot be after the portal closes on 31 October 2024. Applicants are advised not to pay this fee to a third party because UJ accepts it through its payment channels, which are listed on the official website.

Remember, online applications are free but manual applications cost R200.

Submitting the Supporting documents to UJ for 2025/2026

All applicants who want to enrol in the 2025–2026 academic year at the University of Johannesburg must be prepared to email or submit the required supporting documents before the deadline. Depending on the course, UJ must send the application by October 31 together with all supporting documents. The application form will open on Monday, April 1, 2024, and candidates will have access to the application tool to submit it at that time.
