UJ Online Application 2025-2026 Undergraduate
Prospective applicants to the University of Johannesburg are reminded that the online application form for the academic year 2025-2026 is now open, and all those interested in studying at the university should log into the application portal to complete the online form or download it and complete it manually.
The online application portal for the University of Johannesburg is open on April 01, 2024, and will remain open until October 31, 2024. Choose a course that corresponds to your grade and apply for it. If you are unsure about the grade, download the prospectus and learn about the prerequisites before enrolling in the course.
Admission requirements for the various programs offered at the University of Johannesburg can be found in the university’s brochure or prospectus and on the university’s official website. You may also be required to take a series of tests to help with placement for the 2025-2026 academic year.
UJ Online Application Login
To access the application form of the University of Johannesburg, prospective applicants must log into the application portal using their login information. A smart device and a browser are required to access the portal for online applications. Google Chrome is the recommended browser for online applications for the University of Johannesburg.
The majority of browsers are incompatible with the online application portal, and using them may cause the process to fail or delay. You can begin submitting applications on April 1, 2024. Because the online application portal is mobile phone friendly, you can complete the online application form using a smartphone.
How to Use the University of Johannesburg’s Application Portal
The application login or portal of the University of Johannesburg is available on the university’s official website. Visit the official website of UJ @ https://www.uj.ac.za using a smart device connected to the internet. The application portal can be found under the “ADMISSION + AID” tab. Prospective students from South Africa and outside can apply through the application portal. All fields with a red asterisk are compulsory. This means you will not be allowed to proceed if left blank or incorrect information is supplied.

How to complete UJ Application Form for 2025-2026
To complete the application form for the University of Johannesburg, follow the guidelines below:
- Visit the official website at ul.ac.za/Apply if you have good internet access.
- If you are a new applicant, select “New Applicant.”
- Select Yes/No from the drop box if you have the student number.
- Select Yes/No from the drop-down menu to indicate whether you are returning to finish an unfinished application.
- Read the clause that appears after the previous step and check the box “I Accept.” to continue
- Enter your Biographical details, Contact Information, Residence Information, and nationality. ( Please enter your biographical details in CAPS.)
- Click on the Next Button to continue to the next page
- You will then receive an email with your Student Number and a temporary pin. You can choose to change or keep the pin.
- Enter your student number and PIN now.
- Choose your course after reviewing the individual course prerequisites.
- Before applying, download the university prospectus and review the course requirements.
- The decision will be based on these criteria. Please reconsider your selection if it does not meet the requirements.
- Keep uploading the necessary documents. These documents must be scanned and uploaded individually.
- The scanned files should not exceed 5MB or 512KB in size. Tiff, pdf, jpg, or gif file formats are required.
- Remember to save each page before moving on to the next.
- If you do not save your data before proceeding, you will lose it.
- Please ensure that you press the Submit Application button once you have completed your application to ensure that they receive it.
UJ Required documents For Online Applications
The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:
- If you have completed your Grade 12 exams, you must provide a certified copy of your results.
- Certified copy of your Grade 11 (if you are currently in Grade 12) (South African only)
- A certified copy of your native country’s identification document
- A certified copy of your passport number from your home country
- Study Visa in South Africa
- Medical Report
- English Proficiency For Undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required
- Sworn English Translation of documents (Documents issued in any Language other than English).
