UMP Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake

The minimum entry requirement for the University of Mpumalanga degree, diploma, and higher certificate programs is a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with the following criteria:

  • A minimum of 30% in the language of learning and teaching at the higher education institution, certified by Umalusi.
  •     An achievement rating of 4 (Adequate Achievement, 50-59%) or higher in four subjects chosen from the recognized 20-credit NSC subjects

  • Click on Apply Now
  • Click the link to begin your application.
  • Review and accept the terms, then click “continue.”
  • Fill in your personal information and click “next” to proceed.
  • Provide your academic details and click “next.”
  • Enter your school/university information and click “next.”
  • Select your preferred programs and qualifications, then click “next.”
  • Review your application details and click “continue.”
  • Create a 5-digit PIN, check the “I accept” box twice, and click “Submit Application.”
  • Upload your documents.
  • Once all documents are uploaded, click “complete upload.”
