UNIVEN Undergraduate 2026 Application Date
The University of Venda (UNIVEN) has updated its application schedule for the 2026 academic year. Undergraduate applications will be accepted from April 1 to September 26, 2025. Late applications will only be considered if there are remaining spaces after the deadline. How to Apply
To apply, visit www.univen.ac.za and click on ‘Apply’ to begin your application. You can select up to two study options from the over 178 undergraduate programs available. All undergraduate applicants, whether from South Africa or internationally, must apply online through the official University of Venda portal. Please note that manual or walk-in applications will not be accepted.
How to Complete UNIVEN Application Form for 2026
To successfully complete the University of Venda’s undergraduate application form, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Application Portal
- Begin by visiting the official University of Venda website at www.univen.ac.za.
- Once on the UNIVEN homepage, click the “APPLY NOW” button to start your application process.
Step 2: Start Your Online Application
- Enter your ID number (either South African ID or valid Passport).
- Ensure all details are correct before moving forward.
- Accept the terms of the POPI Act to proceed with the application.
Step 3: Create a 5-Digit PIN
- Choose a memorable 5-digit PIN that you can easily recall.
- Confirm your PIN by entering the same number again.
- After confirmation, proceed to the next step of your application.
Step 4: Save Your Progress
- You can save your progress at any point during the application process.
- Simply click the “Save” option to store your progress.
- You can log in anytime later to continue where you left off using your 5-digit PIN.
Tip: By saving your progress, you can take your time to fill out the application and avoid losing any information you’ve entered.
Step 5: Upload Required Documents
- Ensure you upload all supporting documents/materials:

- Carefully fill out all required fields, including your academic history.
- Select at least two courses of study.
- Double-check all details for accuracy.
- Once satisfied with the information entered, click the “Submit” button to complete your application.
Step 7: Receive Your Student Number
- After successfully submitting your application, you will receive a student number.
- Make sure to check your email (including your spam folder) for this reference number.

UNIVEN Required Documents For Online Applications
The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:
- A copy of your ID or Passport
- Your Grade 11 final results (if you are still in school)
- Your academic record and certificate of good conduct (for transfer students)
- National Senior Certificate (for Matriculants)
For International Applicants: In addition to the above, you will need:
- A copy of your study or residence permit
- Proof of medical insurance
- SAQA Evaluation Certificate
- Your student reference number or ID number
