Admission Requirements For 2026 Intake
To be eligible for admission to studies at UNIVEN, applicants must meet the following requirements and achieve a minimum of 26 APS points:
- Degree: Applicants must hold a National Senior Certificate (NSC) with an achievement rating of 4 (50-59%) in four 20-credit subjects. A minimum score of 26 points is also required. If Grade 12 has been completed, a bachelor’s or matric exemption is necessary.
- Diploma: Applicants must have an NSC with an achievement rating of 3 (40-49%) in four 20-credit subjects.
- Certificate: The minimum requirement is an NSC

UNIVEN Accommodation Applications 2026
The University of Venda provides campus housing and residence facilities to new students upon successful course registration. Applications must be submitted online and not directly at the residences.
All first-year applicants requesting accommodation for the 2026 academic year must submit their application through the University of Venda’s official website at www.univen.ac.za. When prompted with the question, “If you need accommodation,” select “Yes.” Accommodation will be allocated to those who apply through the UNIVEN portal and have received either a conditional or firm admission offer for the 2026 academic year
