University of Zululand has officially opened applications for the 2026 academic year, beginning on March 1, 2025. This opportunity is available to all prospective students, regardless of nationality, qualification level, or language proficiency.
University of Zululand (UniZulu) is one of the institutions that uses the Central Applications Office (CAO) to process applications. How to Apply at UniZulu Online for Admission 2026
All first-time and returning students applying for undergraduate or postgraduate studies at University of Zululand must submit their online applications through the Central Applications Office (CAO) at www.cao.ac.za by following the necessary steps.
- Click on “Apply” to start the application process.
- Read the details and click “Continue with Application.”
- Enter your ID number and click ‘Submit.’
- Scroll down and click “Continue with Application” at the bottom of the page.
- Fill in all required information and click “Next.”
- Review your CAO number, password, and EasyPay number. Read the guidelines, then click “Continue with Online Application.”
- Complete all necessary details and click “Next.”
- Enter your Next of Kin details, then click “Next.”
- Provide your school details, including enrollment and graduation years, and click “Search.”
- Review your information and click “Next.”
- When satisfied with your application, click “Process My Application.”
- Upload documents: The following documents are required for your application to University of Zululand:
- Identity Document
- diploma or degree certificate (if available)
- An academic record with conduct in respect of studies at another tertiary institution
- Proof of payment of the non-refundable application fee.
- Matric results/certificate
- After successful submission, you’ll receive a confirmation notification.
- Proceed to pay online via credit card or use EasyPay for payment.
NOTE:
Your UniZulu online application will only be submitted once you have:
- Fully completed the online application form
- Uploaded all required supporting documents in .pdf format
- Paid the application fee: R300 for international students or R250 for South African students
