NWU 2026 Application Opening and Closing
Applications for the 2026 academic year at North-West University (NWU) are now open to all prospective students. The final submission deadline is August 31, 2025, at 11:59 PM. What You Need to Apply for Admission at North-West University (NWU) for 2026
You must upload or submit the following documents to a specific channel. Before applying to North-West University (NWU), ensure you have them ready.
- Grade 12 results, grade 11 results (final results only) or a copy of your matric certificate – if you have already passed matric.
- Applicants who are currently upgrading their grade 12 results, will only be considered after the improved results are presented to the NWU.
- Applicants who follow Cambridge, GED or any other non-NSC curriculum, or who may qualify for exemption based on advanced age or post-school qualifications, must provide an exemption certificate as issued by USAF.

Application Fee:
You must pay an R550.00 non-refundable application fee if you are an international applicant. The application is free for applicants in South Africa.

Step 2: Select New application.
Step 3: After clicking on Create new student number, fill out all of the fields. Please keep in mind that it is illegal to create an NWU student number using any ID number other than your own.
Step 4: When you receive a student number, log in with it and the PIN number you created.
Step 5: Fill out all of the fields. Utilize the yearbooks to learn more about the qualifications, modes of delivery, and curricula.
Step 6: Upload the above-mentioned supporting documents.
Step 7: Please ensure that you press the Submit Application button once you have completed your application to ensure that we receive it.
