Cape Peninsula Online Application 2027
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) will open its 2027 undergraduate application cycle in May, in line with its annual admissions schedule. The application period is designed to accommodate qualified applicants from both within South Africa and internationally.
Please note that CPUT does not offer a second-semester intake for undergraduate programmes. All applications must be submitted online, as manual submissions are not accepted. Both local and international applicants are encouraged to apply through the official online portal.
When to Apply to CPUT For 2027
If you’re planning to apply to Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for the 2027 academic year, follow the timeline below:
- Opening date: 13 May 2026
- Undergraduate closing date: 30 September 2026
- Postgraduate closing date: 14 March 2027
CPUT Application Fee Requirements For 2027
Cape Peninsula University of Technology provides a free online application, but manual applications and late submissions incur non-refundable fees of R100.00 and R150.00, respectively.

How to Apply to CPUT for 2027 Admissions
To apply to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) for “admission 2027”, follow the steps below
- In your browser, type www.cput.ac.za.
- Choose and click on Online Applications under step 4.
- Choose “No” if you’re a new candidate, and “No” if you want to finish your application later.
- Check the POPI Act document box.
- Type in your Token Specific to Qualification.
- Click the “Next Button” button.
- List all of the relatives and payment-responsible parties’ full names.
- Type in your address and phone number.
- Choose your qualifications.
- Enter the number from your last school leaving certificate and your matriculation/grade 12 year.
- Fill in the required fields.
- Enter the name of your most recent high school.
- Decide on the required qualifications, campus, instruction language, and admissions.

What You’ll Need to Apply
To apply to CPUT for 2027, the documents below will be needed:
Domestic Applicants
- Academic certificate scanned into pdf.
- A valid email address.
- A signed minor declaration form from guardians/parents (under 18).
- Proof of identity
International Applicants
- Complete Form 22 biographical information.
- Attach diploma/degree and additional qualifications.
- Provide ID/Passport.
- Attach original academic record and conduct certificate.
- Attach Matric/School Leaving Certificate.
- Include Study Permit/Visa, Medical Aid, Matriculation Exemption.
- Submit SAQA Evaluation for South African qualification equivalent.
Returning to CPUT Online Application Wizard
You can complete your online application using the CPUT application wizard even if you lose internet access before submitting it by following the steps below
- Log in via http://www.cput.ac.za/study/apply if already started.
- Indicate if you already have a student number.
- If returning to complete the application, select YES.
- Enter your ID or passport number.
- Click on the RESUME Application button.

Online Application Submission Process (After Submissions)
- Applicants will receive an Application Verification email confirming their online application.
- If an email notification is not received, applicants should check their junk email folder for potential notifications.
Track CPUT 2027 Application
Follow the steps below to track the status of your CPUT 2025 application form
- Go to the application page portal
- Select and click “Follow-up and get your admission status” under Step 5
- Fill in the form with your ID, passport number, or asylum number.
- Enter your first name in full.
- Select the tab labeled “GET MY APPLICATION STATUS.”
