If you were not admitted for the 2025 academic year, you now have another opportunity to apply for the 2026 intake at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT). The university is currently accepting applications from all prospective students, including those who previously applied, starting from May 13, 2025.

📌 Undergraduate Applicants: September 30, 2025
📌 Postgraduate Applicants: March 14, 2026

CPUT 2026 Re-admission Application Fee Guidelines

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) does not charge an application fee for students applying for re-admission into undergraduate or postgraduate programs for the 2026 academic year. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit their applications within the designated timeframe, as late applications will not be accepted.

CPUT Courses and Application Requirements

In order to be considered for admission to a CPUT course, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Qualification’s subject admission requirements:

    • You must meet the specific subject prerequisites for the program you are applying to. These can be found on the CPUT website or in the program brochure.
  2. Minimum Admissions Point Score (APS):

    • You must meet the minimum APS requirement for the program you are applying to. The APS is calculated based on your final National Senior Certificate (NSC) marks.
  3. National Senior Certificate (NSC):

    • You must have passed your NSC before you can be admitted to CPUT.
  4. Competitive marks:

    • While meeting the minimum requirements is necessary, a mark above the average may increase your chances of admission.

How To Re-apply At CPUT For 2026

Follow these steps to reapply as a returning student at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology for the 2026 academic intake:.

Steps:

  1. Access the ITS Portal:

    • Open your browser and search for “CPUT ITS”.
    • From the search results, click on the hyperlink “Self-Help Enabler – Cape Peninsula University of Technology”.
    • Enter your student number and PIN to log in.
  2. Upgrade Your Matriculation (if applicable):

    • After login, hover over and click on “Returning Student Applications”.
    • Accept the POPI protection act.
    • Hover over and click on “Returning Student Application”.
    • Go to “School Leaving Subjects” and click on “Show School Leaving Subjects”.
    • Click “View or Update Details” to see your previous grade 11 and 12 results.
    • Scroll down and select “Yes” for upgrading your matriculation. Click “Save”.
  3. Submit a New Application:

    • Go back and click on “Returning Student Application” again.
    • Go to “Academic Applications” and click on “Show Academic Applications”.
    • Click “Add New Academic Application”.
    • Enter “A” and click search to view all available courses.
    • Alternatively, search by qualification code (found in the prospectus).
    • Select your desired qualification and choose your preferred study mode (if applicable).
    • Click “Save and Continue”.
    • Scroll down and click “Accept Applications”.

Congratulations! You have successfully submitted your re-application to CPUT.
