When NSFAS is Opening For 2025 Applications
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) 2025 applications are open from September 20, 2024, to January 31, 2025, and those who applied for 2024 but didn’t study need to apply again for 2025. National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) will not accept late applications and so it is imperative to complete the application form, scan, and upload all supporting documents on or before the closing date
Documents You Need to Apply For NSFAS Funding
It is very important that you have all documents ready before starting the application. Note that NSFAS does not require the same documents for all applicants. All copies must be certified at the police station.
Documents are usually needed if you apply using your biological parents. Mother or father.

- Proof of income ( Payslip or Grant confirmation letter obtained from SASSA) you must have something to provide if you want your application to be approved faster or same time. We don’t recommend Boxer or Shoprite slips as they delay the approval of your application.

If you applied with Guardian or Grandparents, especially if surnames are different.

How to upload supporting documents

- The certification must not be more than 90 days at the time of the application
