The University of Johannesburg (UJ) has announced the application deadlines and closing dates for the upcoming academic year 2025-2026. These are the deadlines for all submissions by applicants, regardless of qualification (undergraduate or postgraduate). A late application form will be rejected by the university unless there are still available courses for the academic year. Prospective students who want to study at the University of Johannesburg (UJ) should apply as soon as possible.
The University of Johannesburg’s (UJ) online application will open on Monday, April 01, 2024, and will close according to the programs and courses listed on this website. Do not wait until the last minute to apply because your preferred course may be full. This is a school that everyone wants to apply to and study at, so take advantage of this opportunity after graduating from high school or Grade 12.
When to Apply for admission at UJ for 2025-2026
Prospective students who are ready to enroll in a course should review the LIST, which includes all application dates and deadlines for the academic year 2025-2026. Remember that the university will only accept late applications if there are still courses available after the following dates, so don’t count on them.

UJ Application Documents and when to submit them for 2025-2026
The following documents must be submitted to UJ as soon as possible before the course application deadline. If you need to upload any missing documents, you must do so within the application deadlines or risk losing your admission.
South African Applicant
- Certified duplicates of your identification documents (ID)
- If you have completed your Grade 12 exams, you must provide a certified copy of your results.
- Certified copy of your Grade 11 (if you are currently in Grade 12)
Are there any other countries apart from South Africa?
- A certified copy of your native country’s identification document
- A certified copy of your passport number from your home country
- Study Visa in South Africa
- Medical Report
- English Proficiency For Undergraduate programs, proof of IELTS with an overall score of 6 and TOEFL with an average score of 80–104 is required
- Sworn English Translation of documents (Documents issued in any Language other than English).
Uploading Online Documents Instructions
- Each document must be scanned, saved and uploaded individually against each uploading Certificate code as indicated
- All documents should be scanned in any of the following file types: tiff, pdf, jpg or gif
- The maximum scanned file size is 5MB each.
