The University of Fort Hare is committed to providing a student-centered experience and has made substantial investments to streamline its online application and admission processes. We encourage students to take advantage of the online application platform, rather than visiting the campus to track their applications. On-campus visits should be reserved for instances where technical issues arise or when assistance is needed with the application status.
Application Confirmation and Tracking
Once your application is successfully entered into the system, you will receive an SMS confirming that the University has received it. Please note that this message does not indicate acceptance into the program.
Prospective applicants can track the status of their application online by following the instructions provided in this article.
Acceptance Notification and Registration
Successful applicants will receive an SMS notifying them of their acceptance into the University, along with details about registration dates and the start of lectures.
To secure your place, you must complete the registration process within two working days of receiving the final acceptance notice. Failure to do so may result in your place being offered to another student, as spaces fill up quickly.

How to Check the Application Status at UFH
Follow the steps below to check and track your UFH 2026 application status:
Step 1:
- Go to www.ufh.ac.za
Step 2:
- Scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see the Online Services BUTTON. Clicking here will take you to the STUDENT IENABLER menu
Step 3:
- On the IENABLER menu, log in using the student number and Pin you created when applying online. If you have forgotten your Pin, click on Forgot PIN, and a new pin will be sent to the cell number that you filled in when you applied.
- If you have forgotten your student number, you will be required to enter your ID number, and this will also be sent to your number.
- Manual Applicants
- If you used hard copy applications and not online applications, put in the student number that you received via email or SMS, click on forgotten Pin and this will be sent through to your cell number
Step 4:
- Once logged in, click on Student Enquiry at the left of the drop-down menu. Then click on Application information on the Top right to see your status.
