University of Pretoria 2027 Application Deadlines
Prospective students are urged to submit their applications as soon as possible, as deadlines differ depending on the chosen qualification. Please note that late applications will not be accepted.
For the 2027 academic year, the University of Pretoria (UP) has set the following closing dates:

Application Fee For UP 2027 Admissions
To successfully submit your 2027 application to the University of Pretoria, a non-refundable fee of R300 must be paid. This applies to all prospective students. Once paid, please upload your proof of payment to the portal immediately. Applications without a confirmed payment will not be processed.

How to Apply to University of Pretoria
Admission Requirements For UP Courses
The University of Pretoria offers a wide range of courses across 9 faculties. While meeting the entry requirements is necessary for admission, it does not guarantee automatic acceptance. To gain admission into any of the faculties, you must meet the following requirements:
Higher Certificate: If you’re applying for a Higher Certificate qualification at the University of Pretoria, you must meet at least the following minimum requirements
- NCV Level 4 issued by the Council for General and Further Education and Training
Diploma: To apply for any Diploma courses at the University of Pretoria, you must meet the following qualifications.
- NCV Level 4 issued by the Council for General and Further Education and Training
- At least 40% in three (3) Fundamental subjects including the language of learning and teaching in the higher education institution
- At least 50% in the three (3) compulsory Vocational subjects
- Must meet the minimum requirements of the higher education institution
Bachelor Degree: To apply for any degree-related courses at the University of Pretoria (UP), you must meet the following qualifications
- NCV Level 4 issued by the Council for General and Further Education and Training
- At least 50% in three (3) Fundamental subjects including the language of learning and teaching in the higher education institution
- At least 60% in four (4) compulsory Vocational subjects*
- Must meet the minimum requirements of the higher education institution
