How To Reapply For NMU 2027 Admissions
Nelson Mandela University has reopened applications for returning and previously unsuccessful applicants for the 2027 academic year. Both undergraduate and postgraduate students who were previously unsuccessful are invited to reapply.
NMU 2027 Reapplication Dates
Applicants are required to resubmit all 2027 application materials by the following deadlines:

30 June 2026 – Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB), Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm), and Bachelor of Radiography (Diagnostic) applications.

03 August 2026 – Early application deadline for all other programmes.

30 September 2026 – Late application deadline for qualifications with available space.

Application Fee for NMU Re-admissions for 2027
All returning students seeking readmission to Nelson Mandela University for the 2027 academic intake may apply free of charge, as no administration fee is required.
How to Reapply at Nelson Mandela University
To reapply for the Nelson Mandela University 2027 readmissions, kindly follow the steps below
- Go to www.mandela.ac.za.
- Click on STUDY@NMU at the top of the page.
- Select Apply Now and choose the Returning Student tab.
- Enter your student number and PIN to access the portal.
- If you forgot your PIN, click Request a PIN, enter your student number, and check your registered email for the new PIN.
- Once logged in, fill in all the required fields.
- If you prefer, download the application form from the NMU website, complete it manually, and submit it.
- Submit your completed form in person at any of NMU’s four campuses or send it via post to the university.
Documents Required for NMU Re-applications
The following documents must be ready at the time of application and submission:
- Grade 11 Year-End Results (if you are still in school), or
- Final Grade 12 Results (if you have already completed high school).
- Scanned Copy of School Results
- Certified Academic Record and Certificate of Conduct – (Transfer student)
- Proof of Application Fee Payment (International students).
- Certified copy of your identity document
- Disability assessment form
- Copy of your current residential/home or postal address
