CPUT Online Registration Now Open For 2024-2025
The first step toward attending CPUT University for the 2024–2025 academic year is to submit an admissions application to the Cape Peninsula University of Technology. You will receive an official offer for a spot in your course along with information to help you enrol in the units associated with your course after you have been accepted and given admission to CPUT University. From Monday, January 29 to Thursday, February 29, 2024, CPUT will formally open the 2024 registration and enrolment portal for all new and returning students to register for academic modules and courses for the first semester of 2024.
CPUT Registration Dates For 2024-2025
The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) Off-campus and online registration for the academic year 2024 opens Monday, January 29th for accepted 2022 matriculants, while 2023 matriculants waiting for final evaluation will have until February 9th. All first-year and returning students, however, will have to submit a late registration between February 12 and March 1, 2024, if they are unable to finish the registration, or their admission spot will be forfeited. The breakdown of the 2024–2025 first-time applicant enrollment and registration schedule is provided below.
General Registration period

- Late Registration Period: 12 February to 01 March 2024
First year Students Only
- General registration: 29 January 2024 to 09 February 2024

CPUT Registration Fee Requirements For 2024
Upon registration, all new students at Cape Peninsula University of Technology must pay a non-refundable registration fee of R745. The registration fee may be paid via the mobile app, your bank’s USSD number, an ATM, the Contact Center of your bank, or the closest branch of your bank.

The CPUT registration fee can be paid for using any of the aforementioned options, or electronically (through an account number provided below) using the EFT method.

To register online for the 2024–2025 academic year at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT), you will require the following documents.
- An active email account and a phone number.
- Your South African identity number.
- A passport for international students.

CPUT Step-by-Step Online Registration Procedure For 2024-2025
You must follow the steps listed below to complete the Cape Peninsula University of Technology first-time entry (FTES) application and enrollment process to register for the 2024–2025 academic year.
- Go to the Students tab on the CPUT website at www.cput.ac.za
- Click on the “Student Online Services (SOS)” link
- Click on “Log in to SOS”
- Registered Users”, will appear.
- Select ‘Student’ and type in your student number and PIN, and click “Login
- Select “Student Enquiry” on the left.
- Go to “Summarized Statement of Account”.
- Verify that the upfront payment shows as a credit on your account.
- Select “Student Administration” on the left
- Select “Personal Information Update” on the left to verify your details.
- Click on “Save” at the bottom of the page once you have updated any of above information
- Select “Academic Registration” on the left
- Select “Rules & Regulations
- Click on the “I Accept” button at the bottom
- Select “Submit Registration” on the left.
- Select your “Employment Status” from the drop-down list.
- Click on the “Save and Continue” or “Save – Continue later” or “Restart Process” button.
- Select “Submit Registration” >> “Possible Subject Selection”.
- Select your Subjects, by ticking the box next to each subject
- Select the “Save and Continue” or “Save – Continue later” button
- Select the “Continue” or “Restart Process” or “Print Registration Details” button to print
- Select the “Print Cost Details” button to print the Registration Costs.
- Click on the “Accept Registration” button.
- Select and check the I ACCEPT box
- Select “Proof of Registration” on the left to print your proof of registration
- You have successfully completed your Registration.
