Is CPUT Closed For 2026 Application
Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is still accepting applications for the 2026 academic year. Prospective students who have not yet applied can still do so, as the application window will remain open until March 2026, depending on the qualification.
The application period opened on May 13, 2025, and is still active for anyone who wishes to apply for the 2026 academic intake. All eligible and interested students are encouraged to visit www.cput.ac.za to submit their applications before the closing date.
CPUT 2026Application Deadline Breakdown
All applicants, regardless of social or financial background, are encouraged to apply for the 2026 academic intake by the following deadlines:
- Undergraduate applications close on September 30, 2025.
- Postgraduate applications close on March 15, 2026.

CPUT Closing Date for Application Fee payment for 2026
Prospective applicants should note the following:
- Online applications at CPUT are free of charge.
- Manual applications require a R100 processing fee.
- Applications without proof of payment, supporting documents, or a fully completed application form will be rejected.
- Failure to apply by the deadline will result in a R150 penalty application fee.

Document Submission and Upload Deadlines
The following documents must be submitted to the CPUT Admissions Office by the deadline, either online or by mail, depending on the qualification for which you are applying.
- Final Grade 11 results
- Identity Document
- Minor Application Declaration (Less than 18 years)
- English Proficiency
- English Translation Final Grade 11 equivalence results
- Final Grade 12 equivalence results
- Letter confirming registration for upgrading of results
- Final Grade 12/School Leaving Results
- Academic Record: Certificate of Conduct and Qualifications obtained
- Passport/Asylum Seeker/Permanent Residency permits
- SAQA Certificate
- Previous Studies & Final Grade 11 equivalence translation
How to Apply online at CPUT
You must submit your application as soon as possible because the application period is limited. Because the application window at CPUT is still open, apply now by following the instructions below. Step 1: Qualification
- Select a qualification you want to pursue.
Step 2: Complete the form
- Download the application form and complete it manually or complete the online application form by following the screen instructions
Step 3: Upload and Submit the forms
- Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents.
- Pay the application fee if you applied manually
- Send in your form and documents to the designated channel
- Submit them online if you completed the online application form

There are two ways to obtain an application form for admission: You can download a PDF version of the form to print at home or pick up a printed form from the Registration and Applications Office on each campus.
