When to Apply for MUT Admissions 2026

Prospective students wishing to study at Mangosuthu University of Technology for the 2026 academic year can now submit their applications, which are open to all applicants, regardless of country or language. Applications open on March 1, 2025, and close on September 30, 2025. This is the only opportunity to apply online for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and all supporting documents must be submitted by the deadline to avoid rejection.

MUT 2026 Application (Opening Date)

Apply online from Saturday, March 1, 2025 at www.cao.ac.za
The primary mode of application is online at www.cao.ac.za. Other methods, such as email, postal, fax, and in-person submissions, are considered secondary modes of application.
You will be allowed to select up to 6 courses on the same application form.

MUT Application Fee Payment Dates (2026)

The application fee is R300 for international students and R250 for South African students.
You can either pay online or pay at the bank (See Details)
Note: All payments must be made within the application deadlines.

MUT Application Document Deadlines

Submit all required documents by the application deadline to avoid an invalid application. This includes

Grade 11 final results
Grade 12 June exam results
National Senior Certificate or Statement of Results
Identity Document (ID card) or a valid passport
An academic record and certificate of conduct
A valid medical insurance cover
Police clearance certificate
SGCE, GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, or Cambridge School Certificate

Submit any outstanding documents including proof of payment of the application fee before the application portal closes.
