CPUT Late Applications 2024-2025 Closing Date

The Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) is now accepting late applications for the class of 2024. Late applications are now being accepted for programs that have openings. If you haven’t applied to university yet, the Cape Peninsula University of Technology may be the answer, as they are now accepting late applications for the academic year 2024-2025. Time waits for no man, so get your application materials ready as soon as possible.

Late applications are only accepted at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology after the official and general deadline for getting students into available courses. Late applications are usually received within a week, and applicants who cannot apply again must wait until the following academic year.

Opening date for Cape Peninsula University of Technology Late Applications for 2024-2025

Prospective applicants who were unable to apply during the first application window will have another opportunity to apply for available courses for the 2024-2025 academic year beginning on February 15, 2024. CPUT Late applications will be open on 15 February 2024, so if you have not yet applied for a study course, prepare yourself and apply as soon as the portal for late admissions for 2024 opens.

Certain Undergraduate programmes catering for returning students only and Postgraduate programmes: Friday, 16 February 2024 – Friday, 23 February 2024

Please note

  • No late applications for the Faculty of Education
  • The following programmes are still open for applications regardless of the late application timeframe (also included in the list provided below):
    • Full Research Masters and Doctoral programmes – closes 15 March 2024.

Who can Apply for LATE APPLICATIONS at CPUT FOR 2024

If you fall into any of the following categories, you are eligible to submit a late application.

  • National applicants (with an SA ID) with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.
  • National applicants (with an SA ID), including Refugee/Asylum Seeker and/or Permanent Residency applicants with a National Senior Certificate (NSC) / SC (Senior Certificate) / NCV (National Vocal Certificate) / National Qualification.
  • Permanent residency applicants with SA ID with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.
  • Refugee/Asylum Seeker status applicants with international qualifications who already have SAQA certificates.

How to Apply for a late admission at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology

Comply with the following steps to apply for your course at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels

Step 1: Qualification

  • Select a qualification you want to pursue.
  • Learn about the requirements here

Step 2: Complete the form

  • Download the application form and complete it manually or complete the online application form by following the screen instructions
  • Completed application forms and accompanying documents must be submitted to the Admissions Office. You can submit your application form and accompanying documents in two ways:
    • Forms can be hand-delivered at the campus where the programme is offered. The venues for the offering of all programmes are outlined in the application form.
    • Forms can also be posted to the Admissions Office at the campus where the programme is offered

Step 3: Upload and Submit the forms

  • Gather your documents or upload further/ outstanding documents.
  • Pay the application fee if you applied manually
  • Send in your form and documents to the designated channel
  • Submit them online if you completed the online application form.

CPUT Undergraduate Application Fee for 2024-2025

Prospective students who apply manually will be required to pay a non-refundable processing or application fee. This payment must be made within the application deadlines, as any payment made after the deadline will be rejected by the university. If you paid the money offline, you must submit proof of payment within the application deadline. CPUT accepts cash, direct deposit into an official bank account, crossed postal orders, and bank-guaranteed cheques as payment.
